We have listed down a few simple activities you can do at home with your child during this COVID-19 crisis. We will be posting pictures and videos of some of these activities that we did in school on our instagram and facebook. Toddlers – 2 year olds

Open & Close Containers – Find containers and boxes around the home with different kinds of lids or closures. Hide a small object inside and keep all of them in a box or basket for the child to explore. |
Colour Sort – Layout papers or cloth of different 4 colours eg- red, blue, yellow, green. Ask the child to search objects around the house and place them on the coloured paper. |
Posting Activity – Toddlers love to post things inside and dump them all out. You can make simple container by making hole in a closed cardboard box or using a bottle. Use pompoms, buttons, ribbons or ice-cream sticks for posting in the box/bottle. |
Water Play- Fill a big open bowl half full with water. Put plastic lids from bottles. Hand the child a slotted spoon to scoop out the lids and put in a smaller bowl. Its best to do this activity on a big towel. |
Finding the matching object- Find objects around the house which are in multiples. For eg- socks, clips, spoons. Layout one of each object and ask the child to search the other matching objects. |

Art & Craft
Stickers and paper – you can draw a line on the paper and ask the child to stick on top of the line
Activity with Parent – Best out of waste
Let’s do a group project this week. Make something along with your child from waste in your home. Send us your pictures – 1 during the process and 1 with the end result or tag us in your posts or stories. We will share the pictures on our instagram and facebook pages.
Primary – 3 year olds

| Lock & Key – Give your child a small lock and key and show her how to slit the key inside and open the lock. Show how to close the lock and let her have a try. Once mastered can give multiple locks and keys to add complexity. | Colour Sort –Ask your child to search objects around the house having a particular colour. Play the same game on another day in Hindi. The children are aware of the names. (Refer to Transparent Classroom for the list) | Mystery Bag or Box – Along with your child gather and identify a few small objects from around the house which have different shape and feel. Hide them inside a bag with narrow opening or a make a hole in a cardboard box or or place objects under a scarf. Child has to put his hands inside and identify the objects based on touch. | Water Play- Fill a big open bowl half full with water. Put plastic lids from bottles. Art & Craft
Paper cutting – Give your child thin strips (2cm broad) of paper around and scissors with rounded edges. You can draw straight or slanting lines for the child to cut on.
Collage – Cut up paper (older children can cutup images from newspaper or magazines), glue stick, colourful yarn or thread or anything else lying around the house.

| Write action words on small pieces of paper which your child has to read and perform. For eg- clap, spin, jump, etc. The action words can be more complex for advanced readers. For eg- go and wear your bag, clap ten times, etc. | Colour Sort –Ask your child to search objects around the house having a particular colour. Play the same game on another day in Hindi. The children are aware of the names. (Refer to Transparent Classroom for the list). | Mystery Bag or Box – Along with your child gather and identify a few small objects from around the house which have different shape and feel. Hide them inside a bag with narrow opening or a make a hole in a cardboard box or place objects under a scarf. Child has to put his hands inside and identify the objects based on touch. | Memory Game – Write numbers from 0 to 10 on small chits and fold them. Ask your child to choose and open a piece, read the number and find that many objects from around the home. | Label the room- Write names of objects in the room on small pieces of paper. Let your child read the names and place them with the objects. For eg- pen, plant, bed, book, etc. If your child can write, ask her to write the labels and place them around. |
